Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) successfully hosted the PARE Spring School 2025 from February 10–21, 2025, bringing together over 26 students from 7 countries and faculty members from consortium universities in Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia.

This year’s program focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with lectures covering several SDG’s under the theme "Pathways Towards a Sustainable Future" delivered by faculty members from SIIT, Hokkaido University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Mahidol University, and Kasetsart University.

In addition to academic sessions, participants conducted site visits for water sampling in Ayutthaya, TU Tha Prachan Campus, and Samut Prakan, assessing the quality of the Chao Phraya River at its upstream, midstream, and downstream sections. These activities provided hands-on experience in addressing water resource management and environmental sustainability challenges.

The PARE Program (Population-Activities-Resources-Environments) aims to develop future global leaders with the skills and knowledge to tackle sustainability challenges in Asia. Beyond academic learning, PARE Spring School fosters international collaboration and strengthens partnerships among consortium universities. The program also raises awareness about efficient resource utilization and the importance of sustainable development, empowering students to become key contributors in driving positive change for their countries and the world.
